RAY’S FOOD PLACE ENLISTS CATALINA MARKETING

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., (November 27, 2007) – A number of lucky Ray's Food Place shoppers will get their holiday presents a little early this year, thanks to a new interactive prize game at checkout, implemented by Catalina Marketing, the global leader in behavioral marketing solutions.

The “Ray's Holiday Treasures” program, running at all Ray's Food Place stores through December 25, is Ray's first venture into online prize programs and the chain's largest holiday shopping event. The program is also Catalina's first retailer-specific program using Catalina's new interactive capabilities, combining shoppers' in-store purchases with online interactive promotions. Shoppers who spend over $25 at Ray's are provided a printed coupon at checkout containing a unique promotional code directing them to Ray's website. After visiting the site, shoppers have a chance to win attractive prizes from Ray's, ranging from $20,000 towards the purchase of a new car to Ray's gift certificates.

“Utilizing Catalina Marketing's point-of-sale targeting capabilities for this first of its kind Ray's event was the best way for us to create a point of difference for our stores during the cluttered holiday season,” said Dan Cepeda, Director of Marketing for Ray's Food Place/C&K Market, Inc. “In only a few weeks, we have had an overwhelming response from customers. We've already had more than 33,000 customers play the game and register online since October 31st.”

“Using Catalina's online program, Ray's can reach shoppers at the point-of-sale and continue to promote their brand online with a unique interactive experience,” said Ed Kuehnle, President of Catalina Marketing Services.
